Papillion Potpourri

This little butterfly was created with the Sponged Stencil Technique I showed last week.  I punched our Window Sheets with our butterfly punch, then I sponged ink inside the stencil.  I finished it by stamping the coordinating butterfly stamp.

I love the simplicity and clean lines of this card.  See those little dots?  Those are our fun, new Candy Dots!  These are my favorite accessory in the new catalog.  They come in the four color families.
So sweet and easy to use!

In Colors

Welcome to our monthly Ladybug ink. Blog Hop.
This month we are focusing on the new, delicious In Colors.

These are our beautiful In Color Boutique Details.  I love these!  They are little, plastic medallions.  They are like buttons, minus the holes.  You get 20 for only $8.95.
I glued them onto rings bases.  The hand model is my daughter, Ruby.

Ruby and I spent hours last week creating projects to sell at a shop in Nob Hill.  We made 48 rings, 30 pairs of barrettes, 17 pairs of earrings, and 12 jars!  Check back for pics of the other projects.

I admit I am a terrible hoarder of Stampin' Up! products.  All of these little embellishments are retired SU products (except the ring bases).  If you're got a stash like I do, pull them out and see what fun, creative projects you can come up with!

Technique Club Cards - Texture Transfer

This is one of my favorite cards from this year's club.
This technique is called Texture Transfer.

It's an easy technique that involves pressing an inked stamp onto textured cardstock.  Without reinking, you then stamp your image onto your card.
I created textured cardstock using the Big Shot and the Square Lattice embossing folder.  It creates a subtle, delicate texture.

Technique Club - Sponged Stencil

Our last month of Technique Club was in June and we finished out the year with two techniques.
New clubs are forming for September.  Contact me to join!

This technique is called Sponged Stencil.  Since SU no longer carries stencils, I created my own using a punch and our Window Sheets.  The thick, clear acetate makes a perfect stencil.
I sponged three colors of ink inside the stencil then stamped over it with the coordinating stamp.
So simple yet so pretty!
Check back for the next technique.
