November Paper Pumpkin

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Paper Pumpkin!
Each month, my daughter, Ruby, and I
can't wait to see what surprise is in our kit.
We loved November's kit!

We saved it for December 1st and spent the morning
creating these beautiful projects while listening to Christmas music.

There were supplies for 8 cards and 12 tags.
These kits are a fabulous way to begin you stamp collection or
to add to your supplies.

These kits are a great value and a joy each month!
You can have the kits automatically shipped each month,
or pre-pay for 1, 2, or 3 months.

Stamping Technique Club

At last month's Stamping Techniques Club, we learned the technique
Dazzling Diamond Dust.

This beautiful technique is so easy.
After stamping your image, you press a Versamark pad
directly onto your paper then pour Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder
over the whole thing and heat.
It is so sparkly and pretty.

Join us at this month's Stamping Technique Club,
Tuesday, December 9th at 6:30 PM.
Or, order using this hostess club by Wednesday the 10th
and receive the projects we make at club.
Hostess Code: GSZKCZCF

Christmas Gift Exchange

Our annual Ladybug ink. Christmas gift exchange was this month.

I created a set of coasters using our Blendabilities Markers.

I also made a wall hanging based on the card I posted yesterday.

Of course, the packaging had to be super cute!
I made a simple bag topper that I ended up loving as much as the gift!

I so enjoyed being with the ladies!
We ate delicious food (including my favorite: chocolate covered strawberries!),
opened hand-made gifts white elephant style, and chatted and laughed.
Can't wait for next year's party!

You can see Ruth's gift at her blog.
So pretty!  I was lucky enough to take these home,
though she tried really hard to get to keep them!
We made a rule years ago that you can't keep your own gift after
one stamper, I won't name names (Michelle), loved her gift so much that
she stole it during the white elephant exchange!
That was actually a really fun and memorable year,
but the rule stands.  Sorry Ruth!

Cassie made these sweet jars.  She colored the inside
using paint and reinkers.

Carmelita made this beautiful frame using MDS,
a digital cutter, and some vinyl.

Dana made this fabulous box.  She didn't just decorate it,
she created it!  There were even boxes inside!

And here's me with my gifts.  :)

Watercoloring and Embossing

I recently had my Advanced Stamping class at Continuing Ed.
We mostly focused on the techniques of watercoloring
and dry and heat embossing.
As I tell my students, this techniques aren't really advanced
You just have to have the right supplies and a little bit of direction.
This is my favorite way to watercolor in stamping.

I used an Aquapainter and some reinker.

For this card, I lightly spritzed a piece or watercolor paper
and stamped on it while it was still wet.

The colors bleed together a bit.

I copied the design for this card from last month's club.

I colored the stamp with markers, stamped it on watercolor paper,
then blended the colors with an Aquapainter.

You may remember a version of this card from my Blendabilities class.

The flowers look watercolored, but it's actually the amazing Blendabilities markers!

The last card I embossed on watercolor paper,
then created a watercolor wash across the whole paper
using an Aquapainter and four colors of reinkers.

You will get the best results with watercoloring by using
watercolor paper, but you can also try our Shimmery white and
Naturals White or Ivory.

MDS Coupon Book

For Bosses Day, I created a coupon book using
Stampin Up's My Digital Studio.
It was so fun and easy.  I'm still not very computer savvy,
so I started with a pre-set MDS template.
I tweaked a few things to get it just right

Each of us at work added a
Pampering Blessing and a Practical Blessing
for our boss.

The packaging is almost as important as the gift!

I simply attached the ribbon with Snail and the bow with a glue dot.
That way you can still open the package without
ripping it apart or untying the bow.
So simple!
